Mark Fricke
Pastor
Pastor Mark grew up as the son of missionaries in Mexico. He became pastor at First Baptist in 2016.
After graduating with an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth he was appointed as a missionary to Guatemala along with his wife, Debby. They served in Guatemala for 22 years before the Lord led them back to serve Him in Texas. Mark is passionate about discipleship and sharing the good news of Christ.
He is married to Debby and they have two adult children. Mark loves fishing and gardening and spending time with his family.
Jamie and Candace Olivarez
Youth Pastors
Hey there! We are Jamie and Candace Olivarez and we are SUPER excited to be on staff here at First Baptist Church Ozona as the Youth Directors. Originally from Big Spring, TX, the Lord relocated us to Ozona in 2017 and it’s through the abundance of God’s provision, love, mercy and transformation in our own lives that we have been given this opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pour into the youth community. It’s truly where our hearts are. We are blessed with 5 beautiful children, three girls and two boys. It has been an absolute treasure to be their parents and watch them grow. In our spare time we enjoy pulling our RV, kayaking, spending the day at the river or anything that gets us outside.
Linda Connor
Ministerial Assistant
Linda grew up in the small town of Harper, where she went to school from Kindergarten through 12th grade. She married her high school sweetheart, Mel, in 1985. They have 2 children, Glenn and Erika, and five grandsons: Caleb, Justin, Silas, Sutton and Jameson. She also has two twin granddaughters: Ila and Ella.
The family moved to Ozona in 1999. Linda began working for the church in 2008. She is very active, serving as the Hospitality Coordinator, helping with K.I.D.S. and is currently serving as VBS Director. Linda and Mel are a very big part of the group of “ramp builders”. Linda oversees the Live Nativity at Christmas time.
